A prose poem calling all peaceful voices to unite
Two Strains of Humanity
The divide between war and peace I had this made up by AI, and it really resonates with me, the beautiful, peaceful, natural way you can live, versus the inexplicable need to establish your dominance in some way. Strength or weakness? People who embrace war, violence, or physical crimes against the person, often see itContinueContinue reading “Two Strains of Humanity”
My Fellow Writers
What are three objects you couldn’t live without? That’s not three objects, and it’s way more than three writers. I hope. As you may have noticed, my blogs since the war broke out probably need their own category called ‘outrage and disbelief’. If you haven’t read “I believe in choices” because I posted it veryContinueContinue reading “My Fellow Writers”
Woke and Sensible
So, there’s a possibility that we are facing WWIII. I’m not going into dramatic language about that, it’s bad enough without adding to it. Are we so sure now that the Woke, who preach peace, respect, and inclusion, are the idiots in this world? Some will say yes because we’re unrealistic, stupid enough to thinkContinueContinue reading “Woke and Sensible”
Peace and Common Sense: Intro
The discussion around world peace has been on the table all my life. Groups have been formed promoting peace, some of them stupid enough to do stunts that set people against them. There have been leaders such as Gandhi and his peace through non-violence, yet no one has been able to convince the people on thisContinueContinue reading “Peace and Common Sense: Intro”
A Song for All Democracies
Tonight I was watching probably the most uninspiring Last Night of the Proms I’ve seen. There were some wonderful songs and acts, the best of which was Bohemian Rhapsody. But the energy just wasn’t there. Something was just off compared to Proms of the past. It got me thinking though. Land of Hope and GloryContinueContinue reading “A Song for All Democracies”
Connection
The absence of connection in this world allows us to see others as ‘other’, not us, different, not important, wrong. To build stronger understanding and connections is to build a better world. This may sound airy-fairy, but when you see what governments are doing, it seems that the line for decency must be held by us.
Unkindness and Violence
I don’t understand unkindness and violence, I never have. Since I was a child I’ve stood back baffled by the behaviour of others. If we moved to a place of love we could change the world.
Prejudicial Question!
Dogs or cats? Nero chilling We have cats, we love dogs. Cats fit into our lifestyle better, but we would never turn a stray dog away, and no doubt keep it if it got on with cats, after making every possible effort to find its family. Same goes for any domestic pet in trouble. MyContinueContinue reading “Prejudicial Question!”
