What change, big or small, would you like your blog to make in the world?

I write because strangers matter to me, and I’m very aware that there are people out there hurting a lot, and feeling that no one is on their side or understands them. I try to think about that when I write and share something helpful.
Connections are so important, and through the work of a writer we can see life from perspectives we’ve never experienced. We can learn to understand more by reading the many shared viewpoints on life, and using them to create a broader perspective.
Broader perspectives drive connection and inspire us to question
To read why a person is not prejudiced triggers a reaction to be considered. To read why they are does the same. We can be nurtured to think or shocked into thinking.
Words are so important because wars are started by words
We creatives use our words to heal, to inspire, to say no. We write from a point of creation. Writers who promote prejudice and violence write from a destructive energy.
If my work helps anyone to reduce hurt or move past it, if it gives them an idea that becomes the beginning of positive change, then I’m following my true path.
If, however, I helped to create world peace, and an end to all violence,
I would be over the moon.
So I have a big aim and a smaller one. One is more realistic, but I’m not backing off the idea of world peace just because it seems impossible. Everyone needs a positive challenge!
