My Fellow Writers

What are three objects you couldn’t live without?

That’s not three objects, and it’s way more than three writers. I hope.

As you may have noticed, my blogs since the war broke out probably need their own category called ‘outrage and disbelief’. If you haven’t read “I believe in choices” because I posted it very late, please take a look. I meant it with all my heart and it kind of underpins why I’m writing to you.

Not just words – important words

All creative writers whether for books, blogs, plays, cinema, poetry or prose, have a voice and they are people who wish to use that voice.

More importantly bloggers come together on sites like this from many nations, backgrounds, cultures, and religions. As such we can be a powerful tool for change.

We can also communicate, share, seek to understand each other through our writing, and pull together as the family of humanity.

This makes writers, and especially you, some of the most important people in the world at this time.

I mean that.

Governments rule

But they don’t rule writers. During the worst times in human history the word has gone out, and understanding has been reached, by the efforts of the writers.

Think of Anne Frank, God bless her.

We wouldn’t have much of a clue as to what was going on without ordinary writers, not media writers, not government spin doctors, us. Because we can say it as we see it. That’s our job.

What can we do?

Let’s communicate. Let’s talk to each other. Let’s say in our blogs how it feels to be British, American, Ukrainian, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, Asian, at this time.

Let’s be open about how we feel about religion and learn from each other.

Most importantly, let’s tell each other how we feel about what’s happening now.

In other words:

Let’s make ourselves real

By that I mean, let’s start to break down the ideas that one religion wants to decimate another, and make it clear what the ordinary people want.

Let’s be even clearer that the Brits and Europe hate what’s happening right now, that we have a long history of support from America, owe them a lot, but for the first time do not agree with their actions. The UN hates it too.

Let’s hear from writers all over the world for their perspective. Most importantly, if you are minded to, let’s bore the pants off everyone (as we say in England) by talking about peace whenever and wherever we can.

Let’s show the world what it means for people of all races, genders, colours, and creeds to come together and say no. We owe it to the children.

So…if it feels right to you to support this idea in your own way with your own words, it would be wonderful.

Someone has to say no.

And please, write things about your world so that I/we can understand it better, it doesn’t have to be about world peace, just your day. Your religion. What it means to you.

Am I daft?

A dreamer? Unrealistic? Too stupid to understand? Ill informed?

Or

Am I the change I want to see?

For the children.

You decide.

Best love

Amorah – Deb

P.S. I just don’t prize anything including intellect above the health and welfare of my fellow humans. I never have and I never will. I’ve got a pretty soft spot for animals too. But I don’t want any of us on the endangered species list.

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
