A Joyful List!

List 30 things that make you happy.

Humour, fun, and laughter, are number 1+

I started this blog last night and had a list of 21 things before my eyes started to close. It took minutes. I’ll finish tomorrow I thought.

Then I woke up with the thought in my mind that it’s very nice to have all those things that can make you happy – I’m profoundly grateful that simple things can make my day – but is this what really matters to me right now? Am I the centre of the world?

There’s an obvious answer to that, of my world yes, of the lives of others, hardly! Which makes a wide ranging happiness list so important. I’m pretty sure God isn’t impressed by the ‘me me me’ prayers. So here is my:

Future happiness list

  1. World peace for all
  2. Enough food for all
  3. Trust and cooperation between nations
  4. An end to spying on each other
  5. An end to fearing each other
  6. Respect for all people inclusively and without question
  7. Respect for all living beings
  8. Respect for the planet
  9. Understanding that God is just the English spelling for a beautiful energy
  10. Honesty and integrity towards all
  11. Fun and laughter for all
  12. Beautiful music for all
  13. More cultural sharing
  14. Free borders so that we can visit and learn about each other
  15. Facilitating more wealthy people rather than taxing a few heavily
  16. Governments actually solving problems and taking action
  17. Creating a great future by your actions in the present (personally and nationally)
  18. In other words – let’s stop living in a past that no longer exists
  19. People having their pets spayed and neutered to put an end to strays – particularly cats
  20. More lovely people homing animals in desperate need
  21. Taking veterinary practices back into private hands so that the big companies can’t create and peg high prices and people can afford to keep their pets
  22. Teaching people about the power of the mind from an early age – that alone will help our NHS
  23. Psychometric testing in schools so that each child is educated according to their strengths
  24. More flexibility in political views – if governments don’t know which way we will go they will have to do more to please everyone
  25. Making a big deal of the people who become plumbers and electricians etc. – because we really need and appreciate them more than most degrees
  26. Bloggers building their following to share the many great words I read on here
  27. Putting social media to one side more and actually meeting up with each other – still grateful for the connection to those far away though so it has its place
  28. Putting phones down and talking to the person you’re having coffee with (just one example)
  29. Getting children out in the fresh air playing with each other – a ball and a group of kids equals covert fitness
  30. More people to speak out who genuinely care about the world and loathe all forms of prejudice
  31. That the people who follow this blog know how grateful I am – especially to read so many wise words and peaceful intentions

Best love especially to my hero bloggers who are trying to change the world one kind word at a time, or funny one!

And love – which makes the world go round

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
