Hard to Say

Do you spend more time thinking about the future or the past? Why?

Minds don’t stay in one place for long. I’m not a fan of looking back unless it’s to good memories.

I do like to mull my way forward sometimes, but then that can be to miss the here and now, which is the one place you can create change and create the future in better ways.

I would say I’m more often in the present, not always in a good way, but I’m working hard on that.

My latest research has brought me back to a place of loving my simple, quiet life again, a

nd appreciating what I have. It’s also made sense of a chunk of my past when I used to daydream and dream about things way above a child’s understanding, things that make sense now.

In breaking news

This just came in:

The Past

Don’t live in me

I am nowhere

But don’t miss what you had

It’s still part of you

You are the sum total of your life

Everything you experienced

Everyone and every pet you knew

Still live inside you

Everything you have done is there to be used

I exist only to create a better future

By using the lessons I remind you of

To bring in your best life

I am no longer important

The present

What are you doing?

You say that time flies

But that’s because you don’t take notice

You say that you have no time

But you ignore it

Living in the past or planning the future

The future depends on your action now

What you don’t do as much as what you do

Stop ignoring me

I am all you have to create your dreams

I am the most important

The future

They’re both right

My quality depends on how you live each day

That depends on the thoughts you have

About you and your life

And the actions you take

In thought word and deed

Stay in unhappiness and you see your future

Fail to follow your dreams

And watch them walk further away

But they will be safe with me

Ready for the moment you wake up

And realise

That I exist only in your present

It is there that I become

And you create that every step of the way

I cannot be created from the past

Only from those lessons you taught yourself

I cannot be dragged in because I don’t yet exist

I can only be built

One thought and belief at a time

In the now

Be aware of your thoughts every moment

Be aware of your feelings

Be in your truth

And leave the past be

As to me

I am not yet important

The whole

Past present future

We are a progression

We only move forward

But we are one

Allow the importance of the past to diminish

Recognise and embrace the importance of the now

And you will have a great future

Time

Make no mistake

I am a trickster

I can trap your past in your present

I can tell you that time is endless

Then 20 years of creation disappear in a blink

And you’ve done nothing to create happiness

I am a monster!

And my name is YOU

I am the gift you choose to waste

Interesting

To say I resonate with this…I need chocolate!

Best love, wishing you a strong inner light to follow.

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
