Post Apocalyptic

Which book’s world would be the absolute worst to live in?

Or even pre apocalyptic.

Why oh why would you even want to consider living in a terrible world, whatever your terrible is?

I guess it depends on your taste, and if you land up in the right book.

Imagine the alpha male who only wants to add another notch to his bed post waking up inside ‘Pride and Prejudice’!

Or the romantic woman who loves children, kittens, and puppies, finding herself in a post-apocalyptic world of a thousand orphans, a million homeless, pets and no pet food!

Frankly I’d err on the side of caution when you buy a book. Especially when you consider the unknown!

Imagine if a book left open in the night emitted a magical energy and gently pulled you into it in your sleep! You do not want to be reading ‘Blood Meridian’ by Cormac McCarthy, or ‘American Psycho’ by Brett Easton Ellis. You could wake up in bits!

Take my advice, buy only happy books and firmly close the covers at night…

Place it face down…

Put a brick on top…

Stick it in a locked box…

With a brick on top…

Okay get a bin, put the book in it, take it out in garden and set fire to it, bury the ashes and destroy the bin.

You can’t be too careful during the witching hour when the ghosts and goblins walk the night looking for people who seem to want to be scared!

However…

Maybe leave Pride and Prejudice open and let us know if it was really two happy ever after stories! And Mary found love.

Best love

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
