Oddly I’m Not Sure

Do you believe in karma?

I asked AI for a quick description because I’ve only ever heard that karma was cause and effect, but exactly what that means is open to interpretation. Basically the intentions are the cause.

“Karma is the idea that our actions, intentions, and choices have consequences. In simple terms, what we put into the world helps shape what comes back to us, whether immediately or over time.

It’s less about reward and punishment and more about cause and effect—what we think, say, and do creates ripples.”

Basically. There are layers to everything and Eastern thinking tends to be very deep and powerful.

I don’t have the knowledge to go too deep. But I do have questions.

Which are

Why do some people put out nothing but kindness, yet encounter people who refuse to believe they’re genuine?

I’m one of those people, kindness is my guide word for life. I’ve been subjected to so much unkindness I swore never to be that way to others. Yet they believe it’s an act.

Is this because we put out into the world the treatment we believe we deserve? Often based on very real experiences rather than the negativity people will accuse you of.

  • “Nothing good ever happens for me!” This may be true. Believing it may be completely sensible. In which case is believing what you know to have happened bringing more towards you? My issues started before I was 2.

I’ve been a person who has attracted unbelievable unkindness. Yet I’ve managed to dig in and not let that change me. My medical treatment has attracted the most amazingly kind team, including the doctors’ secretary who has stepped in and saved my sanity twice. Is this how it works?

I guess you’ll only get what you put out back when you need it? Maybe? What do you think?

Second question, if intention is all that’s needed for an influx of good Karma, why is the path to hell paved with good intentions? Isn’t it enough to at least try?

Third question, why do people who hang on to enough money to feed three small nations, thrive? Why do criminals become millionaires and live long lives in big mansions. The criminals particularly do not have good intentions?

Fourth question: Why do bad things happen to good people? Good people must have the right intentions surely?

Look what our King is going through again, yet watch the film Harmony, and explore the work of the King’s Trust, and you’ll discover a man with international positive intentions. He has reached all over the world, bringing people together to create positive change. Regenerating rainforests and deserts for one.

It’s an incredible body of work, for every area of society and the world, yet how come he deserves Harry and Earl Spencer? He doesn’t.

Non-conclusion

Is it belief in Karma that makes the difference? If you consciously have good intentions then does that bring in the good Karma?

Kind of, you have to intend to be deserving which sounds rather self serving.

I can’t really answer the question to be honest, I think you would need to study with an expert to be able to do so.

I’ve always found though that questions are a good starting point.

If I’m able to get round to reading your blogs I am sure I will be much better informed very quickly. But I’m woefully behind checking in on all of you…my baby brother is having a horrible time, as is his beautiful wife. It’s kind of taken over my mind. My apologies, I will get to it though.

Best love

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
