Sponwhat?

What’s the most spontaneous thing you’ve ever done?

I am the least spontaneous person you’ll ever meet. The cats would never allow it. The house revolves around feeding times so that Hito doesn’t start chewing the furniture. He’s always hungry with the most accurate body clock I’ve ever encountered!

Plus he has perfected a sad, broken, but terribly disappointed look that would floor anyone.

I wouldn’t actually want to be spontaneous, if I do something wild – such as go on holiday – I want to wring every ounce of experience out of it that I can. I don’t want to miss a thing.

To sit on a beach for a fortnight and say you’ve been to Spain baffles me. But then I’m not a beach person I like to explore every aspect. I want to engage with Spain rather than the correct phrase of “I’ve been to a Spanish beach three times! Plus a couple of airports.”

I’m obviously playing here, I kinda envy the people that can flop onto a beach and chill, sun, sea, and ice cream, what’s not to love? Well except very hot sun…sand in random areas…rapidly melting sticky ice cream…

I’m not spontaneous enough to deal with that kind of mess!

So I clearly need to read every other blog and get some ideas!

Make a list…

Research them all…

Put them in order…

Create a plan…

Get a cat sitter…

Stock up on cat food…

Remind Tony to submit holiday dates…

Find out he can’t do those dates…

Replan…

Discover the cat sitter is away that week, the car is going in for a service, cat’s jabs are due, and it will be monsoon season at our chosen destination. I’m certainly not up for the surprise of being swept downhill in a flood!

Take headache tablets…

🤣

Best love

P.S. of courseif I were to breakout in spontaneity I would take a rubber dinghy with me (but forget the oars).

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
