A Quiet Life

How do you make time for self-care?

By staying quiet. Does that help? 🤣

Seriously. I’m a person who attracts true friends but I’m not a honeypot. No crowds buzzing around me.

I’m also a psychic and empath which means I pick up energy very strongly. It’s not something you do deliberately, and in a crowd you’ll just get a mess so you don’t know who it is that’s carrying what.

It’s obviously better at the theatre and concerts, places that make people happy. They’re a joy.

The upside is that we pick up happiness very strongly too. We also know who we trust and who we don’t. If you’re thinking that you’re like this but you’re not a psychic or empath, you are. It’s a natural human ability stronger in some than others.

What is often portrayed as spiritual is just pure human.

So self care to me means plenty of quiet, energetic declutterring time. Definitely not a day job in a stressy environment with people who want to be anywhere else.

What price money? Work, including underpaid work especially, exacts a high price. As does a poor education not fit for purpose. Plus narrow thinking that doesn’t discover a child’s strengths and aim them towards them!

There’s a lot of stress in the world lying directly at the feet of big business and inept authorities.

Hence the book and cats. When cats have an issue they simply have a four way, very noisy scrap, from a safe distance so their good looks aren’t compromised. This disturbing your on line call last night.

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
