Oh Wow

What are your top 10 travel destinations?

Italy – particularly lake Como. I relax in Italy.

France – particularly Paris because I want to see the restored Notre Dame. Imagine seeing it as fresh as when it was first built? What an honour.

Sedona Arizona – because Tony has never been there and he will love scrambling over the rocks. Which leads to the Grand Canyon which everyone should see to remind them how puny humans are. It’s good for the soul to be humbled by nature.

New York – Just because I’ve always wanted to go there, pay my respects at the 9/11 memorial. See the Statue of Liberty that my father sailed past so often. Stay a night on The Queen Mary on Long Island, because that’s the lady he sailed on. That would mean so much.

Madeira – Tony hasn’t been there either and it’s stunning. Everything grows there. An oak can grow next to a tropical tree. To wake up on a cruise ship, go up onto the deck, and see an island going up, up, up, in front of you, covered in trees. It’s a while before you can even say ‘oh’!

Morecambe – in Northern England. My all time comedy hero Eric Morecambe was born there, and he took his professional name from his place of birth. I want to see the statue of him. Morecambe is pronounced ‘morcom’, but when people introduced him when he started out presenters used to introduce him as Eric Mora- Cam-Be. Always tickled me pink as we say.

Florida – We had the most wonderful holiday there. I loved it, Tony loves the parks, Kennedy Space Center was something I always wanted to visit. I saw the Challenger explode on TV, my uncle saw it from his home, it was nice to pay my respects to them, and the other astronauts that died. Epic place.

Southern Italy – Sorrento is beautiful and to drive the Amalfi Coast with Tony would be exceptional.

Scotland – I’ve been there briefly but I would love to travel further up and visit the Isle of Skye and the fairy pools. It looks so beautiful.

Switzerland – Another return visit but the last time we were there was on a business trip with Tony’s work. It’s so beautiful that I’d love a driving holiday through Switzerland.

A Cruise of the Mediterranean – my idea of bliss. Greece and the Parthenon, Portugal, Spain, Andorra, Monaco. Lisbon, Seville, Barcelona, Valencia, Venice, Malta, Cyprus.

I’ve snuck in way more than ten, and that’s without the cruise around Scandinavia, Canada, the rest of the States.

Oh to travel again, it’s so enriching!

Best love

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
