What’s a skill you consider basic, that most people don’t actually know how to do?

These questions are interesting and challenging, but also impossible to answer.
What represents most people? 8 billion? How would I know what they can and can’t do? I don’t know what my neighbours can and can’t do.
Obviously with the state of this world too many people don’t practice kindness, courtesy, and respect, but that certainly isn’t most people I’ve met.
Often the older generation laugh at this the younger generation don’t understand, but that’s because it’s not a factor in their life. Understanding would be pointless.
Politicians don’t know how to answer a straight question, and the only one we had who did was murdered. I don’t think that was why though. It’s probably something that most of the world have in common.
Hallelujah! I’ve found something that I’m reasonably certain is actually true in a large part of the world: politicians were born to avoid the question!
I did it!
If a good answer would have been cook a fresh meal from scratch, then I like many others can do it, I just don’t want to. I may have that in common with a lot of people too.
There are many things we don’t do nowadays that we all know how to do. which cycles neatly back to kindness, courtesy and respect. Many know how to dedicate those traits, but too many don’t. They aren’t in the majority, but one person is too many.
