What’s a piece of technology you’re convinced will exist in 20 years?

It could be you!
You might have been technologically modified to perform all kinds of tasks!
A chip in the brain connected to your oven so that you can switch it on at work, your robot can then be programmed to fetch and prepare the food and put it in the oven to cook. Then you can get home two hours late having lost track of time and scrape the charred remains into the bin. Blessing technology as you go.
Or you might be genetically modified to run really fast, only to discover that you hate running, plus you’ve just overtaken the bus!
There are so many ways that technology could be used to interfere in our lives, even more than it does now, and it won’t even be capable of asking whether we want it to take away our power. It will simply be designed to do it. As it is now. The times an app is updated to ‘help me’, and I have to work out how to get rid of the next level of brilliance.
The trouble with people who design tech is that they enjoy the challenge, playing around to see what they can do, they don’t think about the amount of thinking and creativity they are taking away from humans.
AI is nice to design images, as above (and so below), but an artist should design and create their own images. A friend uses AI to enhance his work, turning images into cards, etc., but it’s always his work that came from his brain, and activated his creativity.
Frankly the tech is starting to concern me now, what it will be like in the future I can’t think.
I can however, visualise a Star Trek style replicator. Mum and dad come home from work to discover their house has been trashed, because Junior decided he was going to ask the replicator to make things for him.
Bless him!
Best love
