Lap of the Gods

What do you do to improve your sleep?

I’m too spontaneous to go round planning sleep. I don’t drink milky drinks or alcohol, exercise is something I don’t do to the point I’m tired, I get bored long before that.

An ordinary active day in the fresh air might tire me out, but it would have to include a lot of sea air, that’s about the only thing that makes me feel happily tired.

Normally I’m awake until at least midnight if not later. Someone once told me that early mornings are the best part of the day. I replied “I was awake at 3 am, where were you?”

In truth I love the night sky, the moon, the stars. I’m a real creature of the night. Days are boring, you have to go to work and stuff, but the night is my own. No one can disturb it.

I love the peace of sitting at a window staring at the clouds, and the moon if we can see it. She takes my breath away. They say a woman’s hormones are linked to moon cycles, even when you are way past all that nonsense there is still an affinity.

The moon is the most beautiful mother of creation. She allows us to rest and reflect.

What always fascinates me is that she can light up our entire house on a full moon, and she’s just reflecting the light of the sun. It’s lucky to have her because it shows you the power of the Sun God. She is its perfect mirror.

I was once told that the moon and the sun appear to be similar sizes in the sky, but the sun is both 360 times bigger, and 360 times further away. I don’t know if that’s exactly true, but it called to my romantic nature.

At the end of the day though, darkness always wins over the light, because you can’t get sunburnt!

But then there is no evil in dark night, only in a dark soul. So it’s a good darkness.

The universe knows how to send a message, there is no evil in darkness, only in humans. But then there is a lot of good too, so much.

Look at the teams working tirelessly in Venezuela, never giving up, putting their own lives in danger, achieving the unbelievable, moving tons of concrete to find one human.

There is some evil in some humans, but no evil in the cosmos.

Best love

How many moons has Stonehenge in the UK seen rise over its stones?

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
