Who are you most inspired by?

You would have to watch it to understand, it traces 40 years of his work across the globe, trying to save this planet.
He was laughed at as a young man, but he ignored the detractors and kept going. He brought together international teams to solve problems, including indigenous peoples.
So far they’ve regenerated three rain forests, yes it can be done, and returned at least one desert to a thriving natural habitat. They found a way to bring back water to the land by digging a specific shaped hole, of all things.
I particularly loved that Harmony is between man and land. Us living with the planet, regenerating it and protecting it. Benefiting from that care.
From small towns to the far reaches
He started by buying a run down country house in Scotland, Dumfries House. We all thought he wanted yet another home, not that we took much notice. Nothing could be further from the truth.
He returned the house to its former state, using local people trained to do the work. They also regenerated the gardens. Then he gave it to the community. Today it’s a thriving community centre with every employee a local person.
You see, he didn’t do it to regenerate a house. Dumfries was a mining town and when the mines closed all the employment disappeared. The town was run down, no shops, nothing for the community. People were deeply depressed. He regenerated Dumfries and gave them not just hope and purpose, but knowledge, skills, and work.
Those people brought about his first project, and led the way for the work to spread all the way around the globe.
Worship the King?
I love him but not because he’s a king. I feel sorry for him, he’s done so much right in his life, so much that’s magnificent, yet the media scrutiny is relentless and spiteful.
He and Diana were not suited, it was wrong for both of them, but he got all the blame. She had the first affair, she admitted it openly and honestly. Of course she did, she was a young woman and he had an unending job. It was a forced marriage. It’s why William married a commoner, the King learned.
His mother met with her new Prime Minister eight hours before she died. She got up from her death bed to do it. She gave us one last photo with her trademark beaming smile.
When she died they also found that she had completed work on her last Despatch box, the government send information to the Monarch every single day of the year and those boxes have to be dealt with that day.
She kept her word to her people until the end. “My whole life, whether it be long or short, will be dedicated to your service.” The King reiterated that promise when he took the throne.
These are the things I admire. Not social media tycoons with enough money to feed three entire countries. The King would feed them. Not politicians who think starting wars can ever be justified. The King would stand against that.
People, good people, who show by their actions that their word means something.
Apart from Finding Harmony, the King built two towns in the South West of England that stand as the ideal social design. He told the builders if he could spot the social housing, inside or out, he would have the houses raised to the ground and they could start again. No lesser quality for the less fortunate.
That is right.
He also started the Princes’ Trust when a group of young black men started heckling him on a visit. He stepped over the barrier and walked right into the middle of those angry young men. His security guards nearly fainted.
He just said “Stop shouting at me and tell me what’s wrong, or I can’t help you.”
At the end those young men announced the formation of the Princes Trust to help underprivileged youth. They were to be actively involved in setting it up and guiding it.
Prince Charles, as he was all those decades ago, didn’t even need to know best or be at the forefront, he put it in the hands of people who know the problem and what needed doing. It’s a highly respected organisation today, created by him, guided by them.
Humanity worship
I couldn’t care less that he’s a King, they’re not buried in Crowns they’re buried as a human. They leave it all behind.
I do care about great humanitarians. I respect him deeply as such, if I may dare to guess at God’s thinking, I would suggest that He is far from displeased.
The legacy this man leaves is that of a man who cares deeply.
We need much more of that, not to laugh at him and disparage him. He made mistakes as we all do, but he learned and he’s done so much more good. It’s why he sons married the women they loved without question. Heir or no heir.
We don’t need a crown to do what we can, but we do need more humans like him.
Best love
Amorah – Deb
I’m glad his sons married the women they love, not on fix marriage. Hugs, Deb. This King is amazing.
