Voice of the Heart: Stay Pure!

It’s a noisy world out there. From the moment you’re born people are shaping you, filling your mind with ideas from their lives.

Adults are not taught to watch their words around children, and be careful not to fill their mind with ideas. Their ideas.

Our ideas are only right for us.

Practising adult

As an adult you’re supposed to feel capable, know what you’re doing, but the truth is most of us are still stumbling forward because we don’t know what else to do.

If your life isn’t comfortable, if you’re unsettled in one or more areas of your life, you have not got you right.

You’re not living from your heart. At some point you’ve either ignored it or forgotten to question it. Ask what it really wants. The big clue as to when to ask, if you’re dithering over a decision, it may be the logical next step but that doesn’t make it right.

We may be adults, but I wonder how many of us would say ‘nailed it!’, and how many are just doing our best to minimise the missteps.

Human training sucks

From not asking:

Hello little one – who are you?

To never asking:

Hello heart, what do I truly want?

We keep stumbling along, because we’re not taught that what we feel matters. Yet I have three words for you that you can’t ignore:

Stress related illnesses

They exist because we’re not centred in the heart.

Poetic interpretation

Talk to Yourself

Hey heart - you listening?
No - you normally ignore me
I’m feeling lost
I’m not surprised
I’ve been trying to find you
and guide you for years

It’s not my fault I was brought up wrong
How old are you?
How many years have you had to change?
No one told me to change

Really?
That tension in your chest
when you took your last job?
Just nerves
All me - I was showing you
how you would feel

Oh!

Those tears the night before you got married?
Pre-wedding nerves
Pre-misery 24 hour warning from me

Ah!

Do you see?
I guess
What are you feeling?
I don’t know
Ask me!

Okay heart - what am I feeling
and how do I talk to you?

Sit quietly
Relax
Imagine something that makes you happy
Get hold of that nice feeling

Now you feel nice let your mind
slide down into your chest
Imagine your mind sitting inside me
Just breathe

Listen

If you’re in doubt you are right
You know all the logic yet you doubt
Don’t let anyone talk you around
Be with the doubt
Ask me what’s wrong
I will tell you
But you have to hear

How do I hear?
When you feel lighter
When clarity takes the place
of the rock in your chest
When your stomach stops churning
Your mind settles
And you feel centred in yourself

There is no complex technique for this
There will be no clever words
The connection to me will calm you
Centre you in yourself
Realisation will be easy

Now ask yourself
If I do this thing will I lose this feeling?
I don’t know
You will
You will know as soon as you lose it

But that doesn’t give me a solution!
Yes it does

If it feels good - do it
If it doesn’t - don’t

It is that simple

But what about what I’ve already done
Let it go
Decide this is not for you
and look for the answers within
Then take action

Don’t rush
you will only add to the stress
You know what’s wrong
No one else needs to be told
Keep your secret
Take time with your solutions
Step on solid ground

Thank you
You are welcome

Don’t live your life like a battle anymore
Don’t stick to what breaks you
Don’t hold inside what hurts you
Don’t walk a path life pushed you down

You are the power
You could always step away
Stick with me kid
And I will never let you fall again

Summing up

Talk to your heart, feel the answers. It might surprise you to know that your heart knows you better than you do. It can answer the question:

Hey big one – who are you?

Best love

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
