You Really Don’t Want to Know

Jot down the first thing that comes to your mind.

My mind isn’t a place that needs sharing at the moment. I’ve got a bit on it that even I don’t want to be thinking about, so I’m not sharing it with you.

As I was pondering this I thought that the mind should always be like a field of wild flowers, structured only to beauty, allowed to surprise you with things that you didn’t plant, ideas and inspiration springing from all angles.

You get to choose what you pick, and what you leave to flourish for later use. A garden of constant beautiful gifts.

So I’m sharing this with you as the idea is nice and has legs, it’s non-directive, you get to choose and do it all your way. Best of all – even if there were weeds in the garden, they’re just the less popular wild flowers, and what would the bees do without the humble dandelion?

Plus dandelion tea is good for you. What’s not to love? Other than my mind, which actually needs and deserves a lot of love.

I’m off to give it the most sincere mental hug a mind has ever received, because in truth it’s been magnificent to me form over 52 years. Fighting my anxiety like a ninja. It has good reason to need a hug right now.

Never forget the pressure minds are under right now, love yours, and forgive it if it wants to throw things, or scream at someone, or ask certain world leaders what the heck is wrong with them.

Sigh.

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx

  1. I bet the first thought that came to mind was , not to share your thoughts. It’s like not making a decision is still a decision made.
Thank you for sharing and God bless.
