To Become a Different Person

Describe a decision you made in the past that helped you learn or grow.

Appropriate

I was going to say a better person, but no. We humans are fallible and as fast as we improve in one area we’re likely to put our foot in it in another. I did that on social media yesterday.

It’s very levelling and rather good for you to remember that the ‘nobody’s perfect’ clause includes you too. Sigh. I’ll keep working on keeping my foot out of my mouth.

Let’s face it, President Trump doesn’t think the Pope’s right to be standing up for world peace and the word of God, so that leaves us plenty of room to mess up if asking for peace for all gets you into trouble.

I’m also still learning.

Recently I allowed the past to overwhelm me, I’ve learned so much from it already, especially who really cares, which has been incredible and in only one aspect very hurtful.

I’ve also realised that I carry a well of pain inside from things I was not able to react to as a child. Either because it was too overwhelming, or because I was so isolated from my family. I need to deal with that, which I will. We’re working on timeline cleansing in my groups.

Amos always knows when the iron is hot and needs striking.

So yes I became a different person, not a better one, just a kinder form of human who does her best and still wants to kick herself. 🤣

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
