Routine?

What part of your routine do you always try to skip if you can?

AI on the subject of randomness

I have never had a routine. I’m random in the extreme and always have been.

I prefer an unstructured life where I can do what feels right. Work was always a trial for me, I was always late and it took me years to work out why; I only ever had one job that I liked.

I’ve found that structure comes when you’re in the right place doing the right thing. You will embrace structure easily and create an effective routine. One you won’t want to skip.

When I did martial arts I was never once late. When I did Amateur Dramatics I was never once late. When I helped a guy write a musical about Houdini, I was never once late.

In all those instances it was so natural to me that routine was a given. So the parts of routine I would happily skip are anything I don’t enjoy doing.

We all have to do housework, that’s a given. I do upstairs one day and downstairs the next. if I’m in the mood it’s great, if I’m not it’s torture. However, discipline is important at times. Oddly I wouldn’t want anyone else doing the housework as there is a great sense of satisfaction in it.

I admire people who structure their lives well, but I’m not one of them. So you might say that my routine has been regularly skipped for 40 years. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

But that’s the magic that is me.

Have a free, happy, unstructured day, and look for the beauty in life. Take a moment to look up from your desk and out of a window. Get up and walk about and stretch. At lunchtime try to find somewhere to eat your lunch that has a nice view, find a park bench under a tree. Be at peace.

Break all routines regularly to give your mind and body a few minutes to relax, and never break that routine. skip any routine that includes annoying people. 🤣

Best love

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
