Anton du Beke

Who is the most famous or infamous person you have ever met?

Energy defines us

If you’re not from the UK, Anton du Beke is a former dancer on our biggest dance show, and now a judge. Strictly without Anton would be like England without tea.

Somehow the least muscle-bound (although he is solid muscle but not showy – I’ve been tucked under his arm for a photo and can vouch for that), least glamorous, least classically good looking male dancer, took over the show and became the face of Strictly. Why?

Because he has the most incredibly beautiful energy. He is stunning from the inside out.

I’m not trying to turn him into a saint, that’s not what energy is about, it’s just that sometimes the most ordinary humans with all the normal emotions and failings, have an energy that draws people to them like a moth to a flame. He’s one of those people.

I hope you know someone like that.

I had a friend called Christine when I was young, she was a unique personality, quite different to most teenagers, very caring. She had that kind of energy. Everyone loved her. There was no mother-in-law angst at her wedding, her sister-in-law cried on her shoulder because they had a holiday flight booked that night and had to leave the reception early. She may have been the most loved bride on both sides of the aisle at any wedding I’ve ever been to.

The point is?

To exude a beautiful energy is to change the world one heart at a time. Deliberately as with those who choose a path of inclusion and respect, or through natural nature like Anton and Chris. Who may also have chosen the path for all I know, God knows Anton is a triumph over something that could have destroyed him. That’s a choice.

Yet we live in a world where decency is mocked, where we’re labelled as woke. Too stupid to understand the real state of this world. We understand all right, we’re just not becoming part of the problem.

We refuse the invitation.

As many of us that can must start saying no to all violence of all kinds. A war now will affect the entire world, not only are we thoroughly interlinked, but a nuclear cloud would only take one year to travel the entire world.

We are past the stage where decency is an option, and at the stage where it’s a necessity.

It’s hard though to stay decent, to hold the line, when you’re laughed at, mocked, and insulted. It’s critical that we do though. Millions of lives could be saved if we do.

If you have that energy. If you are decent, kind, respectful, inclusive, please please remember that you are everything the world needs, and be extremely proud of yourself. Look the cynics straight in the eye and say no!

If you have a child like that praise that child to the hilt. Reinforce who they are. Show them the benefits of being who they are.

Decent people the world over are God in action. If you believe in God, as I do, whichever name you use, remember that the metaphysical relies on us to embody our beliefs and stand by them. They should be who we are. How you kill in the name of religion I do not know.

If you don’t believe in a deity, the fact that you are the good things of life is enough. Whichever attitude we take, whichever belief we have or don’t have, we need to stand together, be proud of who and what we are, hold our heads high, and stand firm.

For the world – for the children – for the planet.

You are all my brothers and sisters under heaven, and I wish you all well, safe, and happy. With all my heart.

I am not afraid to be Amorah (loving light), I don’t want to be anything else.

Best love as always – I never say a word I don’t mean

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
