Stolen Time

Do you need time?

There is time. It’s how you use time that matters. Too many adults look back and consider their life to have been a waste of time, at least partly.

Too many un-lived dreams, too much time given to putting food on the table. Too much time stolen by school, work, and life pressures.

Which leads me to conclude that in the West we do need time that is our own given back to us. Our lives are proscribed from the cradle to the grave. You will go to school, you will work, you will pay your taxes, and in later life you will become a burden on the economy you paid for.

We need to live a life that is our own. Where we make choices. Some people do that, obviously, they smash the mould, but not everyone is born with a talent or a great idea. Most of us trudge through life, literally without the time to smell the flowers.

Yes we need time even though we have time, but someone else owns it.

We also need to understand the importance of happiness and make it our top priority.

It’s that lack of understanding coupled with social pressures and rules, that is stealing the time we do have but can’t use to create our best lives.

We also need a mindset shift to more soul-centred thinking and heart centred-living. Living our truth and meeting our needs. Which is not selfish. One means of control is to tell a person it’s selfish to want to live your best life.

There’s a lot the West needs to move away from and back to nature. Then we will have the time we have because it will be spent more naturally.

Younger generations, take note, question the status quo, but don’t take your freedom by making other workers pay for it while you sit at home. Far too many members of older generations have done that in the past. live a productive life doing what you love. Contribute by doing what makes you happy.

Best love

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
