Love

What is the most important thing to carry with you all the time?

Sounds corny I know, but feelings of love make everything better and brighter. There is a lightness inside that puts a gentle smile in your face.

Nothing much is happening, but you love your life and feel good. You can’t buy that.

This came to me

Today

Today I woke with love

It was in the air around me

In the heart within me

In my mind

I drank a breakfast coffee

Whilst enjoying the beauty of rain

Something I normally hate

In the traffic jam on the way to work

I turned the radio up

Wondering why being stopped

Had ever angered me

So much beautiful music

So much unexpected time to listen

When the boss was snapping and snarling

I looked out of the window

There were 20 birds sitting on the roof opposite

Had they ever been there before?

I don’t know

I’d never looked

I complimented a colleague on her outfit

She glowed

I told another that her child was beautiful

She says the softest thank you I’d ever heard

It came from her heart

How long had that photo been there

I bought the lunch I really wanted

Not the one that would leave me hungry but slim

In the afternoon I made everyone tea

And opened the chocolate biscuits I kept hidden in my drawer

Meant just for me

We talked and laughed

It was just nice and nice is beautiful

On the way home I stopped to watch the sunset

I gave my son chocolate for dessert

And a long cuddle on the sofa

The ironing could wait

My husband said that just looking at me made him smile

It has been a lovely day

Just because I woke filled with love

Accepted the good feelings

And let nothing disturb them

Everybody won

Best love

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
