Love is not Woke

When you focus your work on love you’re often accused of being woke. Not understanding the problem. Head in the clouds. One of those people. What bothers me about this attitude is, why is being loving wrong?

It isn’t, and this man is right, but of course the word lovers has certain connotations in different parts of the world. I’m not sure he’s suggesting too much canoodling, more that he’s asking for people to be more loving in life.

Choices create reality

Obviously I’m generalising here, but historically the choice of humanity has tended towards violence in thought, word, and deed. With two World Wars in the last two generations, and various shocking events based on murdering as many people as possible, it would be hard to argue that point.

Sadly violence has far greater impact than the phenomenal amount of good that goes on all over the world. The worst part of it is that it can destroy hope amongst decent people when yet another atrocity occurs.

It’s very hard to stay on the side of light and right with just Gaza and Ukraine alone, let alone the rest. But hold strong we must. This world does not need more of the perpetrators.

Not just governments and leaders

Nowadays social media has revealed the ordinary everyday ‘us’ as a race, the worrying aspect of which is that the decent often walk away leaving space for those consumed by fear and anger to rule the day. Again a generalisation. There are still many decent people on social media but they are getting progressively bored with the trolling, and angry commenters that must use insults.

We can no longer say that it’s all about those in power, that they are to blame for everything, we can see clearly that this is not the case. Which means that we can see clearly that as many of us as possible must step up and be the change that is needed. For the sake of our own children and grandchildren alone, as well as the other millions.

The other aspect is the amount of crime that takes place on social media, that no one appears to be doing much about. This also comes from the public, not the powers.

This might sound quite depressing, negative, but it’s sadly true. What it shows us though is how important it is for as many people as possible to be decent, kind, and loving.

If we all take a moment and stop to think, then we realise that the finer emotions are vitally important in this world, and expressing them is our duty as it were. If we all called out one person, and they called out one person, who knows how much good we will do without knowing it.

As such the finer emotions are critical, not ‘woke’ and not optional.

Spiritual reality

Spirituality is about love. However, spirituality is not divorced from reality, it’s the best reality.

When you see yourself as soul, then you realise that it’s part of the brief to be the best person you can.

When you see yourself as light, then you realise that you cannot spread more darkness into this world.

When you see yourself as ultimately part of the wider universe, the true collective whole, in which every atomic energy pattern began and continues to exist, you might start to think about the collective whole in an entirely different way. As a cosmic truth.

We know that everything is atoms, but what I never thought about until I attended a scientific conference is that we are animated by atomic energy. Scientists have also discovered that once atoms form a pattern it never breaks. Don’t ask me how, but verifiable scientists actually told us that. Yes I checked on them afterwards.

So, our energy must return the universe, which makes us truly one with everything. That’s cosmic reality.

I don’t wonder why anyone believes in a loving, kinder better world, I wonder why everyone doesn’t. I wonder how you kill millions for reasons inside your own head. There is no way I can encompass that idea and find it anything but vile. It does not fit inside my head. No violence of any kind towards any living thing does.

Decent person

If you are one you will empathise with this, whether you consider yourself to be spiritual or not. You probably will have been bullied, laughed at, taken advantage of, all because you were trying to be decent. You may have wanted to give up, I’m glad you didn’t.

But to be clear, you don’t need to have any spiritual beliefs, anyone can be a good person.

You know that of course, but I’m not selling something special here, just raising awareness of an easily achievable reality.

Walking my talk

I’ve followed this path I’m on since I was 26, so 42 years and counting. I’ve walked the path, which is my own path, I’ve listened, learned, changed and developed, into nothing more than a better version of my human.

I help people who want the help through my Mentoring Groups. They are run along spiritual lines, because we work with spirit in the form of Guides, all of whom have a very practical and occasionally kick-butt attitude. You’ll just never get your butt kicked more lovingly.

The main philosophy of the groups though is not a focus on the spirit world, we live here, now. It’s to accept each other as human, as we are, and give each other time to work through our ‘stuff’, in our own way at our own pace.

The acceptance of our shared humanity immediately removes the need for perfection, for being right all the time, for knowing what to do all the time. In its place we have a collective mind supporting the group in the way each member needs.

We do work on our own development, but even that is extremely practical, we are actively seeking to feel better on the grounds that happier people are a force for good in this world. Especially as laughter is the best medicine. It’s our wish to feel good as often as we can, and share what we can to help others.

We believe in being who and what we say we are, in a real way. For the good of all, and for the good of the future.

Amorah – Loving Light

Trying to bring this energy to this world isn’t airy-fairy, it’s what the world needs to bring peace and prosperity for all.

That sense of the collective whole, everything everywhere being related to me, to you, to everyone and everything. Every aspect of this planet being important.

We know that without the bees we will struggle to survive. It that doesn’t place us slightly differently in the concept of who we think we are – the master race – nothing does.

We may have the capacity to destroy the world, but losing those tiny creatures could actually destroy us, and they’re only one part of the ecosystem.

We need a loving light in this world. We need more good people unafraid to be good. Strong enough to stand against the detractors, to call out rudeness, disrespect, violence, and so on.

For the World

For the children

For the animals

For the future

Please join me in sharing anything good you can, and you’re welcome to join me in my work, if you think it would be interesting for you. Or not…

As long as you’re happy that’s great

Best love

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
