Soul-centred Living: Truth

To live this way is very simple but it can sound and feel complex if you’ve never tried it. Here are a few simple tips:

  • Always tell yourself the truth. You don’t have to tell anyone else, but you do need to be completely honest with yourself. You achieve this by:
  • Live from the heart. Prioritise what you genuinely feel to be true and right for you, over logic. The heart knows isn’t a saying, it’s a fundamental truth that should never be ignored.
  • Let your mind translate and dream. The mind is there to translate those feelings into the right decision for you. It can also be used to daydream about the perfect life. That’s another way of telling yourself what is the perfect life for you.
  • Listen to yourself. If you ask the world and its brother for an opinion you are not listening to the only person who truly knows you. You. I have four people in my life that if they make suggestions I will listen, and only four. They know me. They care about me. They will do their best even if I feel they’re not right, I trust that. I still test their advice against my inner truth though.
  • Value yourself. From the cradle the opinions of others start to fashion you. You may be at the stage that you don’t value yourself, or even like yourself, very much. I certainly did. I looked in the mirror and saw me, but in my heart I felt a stranger. The true me is a decent person, a kind one, I keep my word. But she was lost trying to be the right person for seven different opinions. As a soul you are as valuable as any energy in the universe, Source/God loves you. Have no doubt of that. “God loves me so you don’t trouble me” is a good way to think. Then embody that love.
  • True strength is quiet. Soul strength is true strength. When you feel centred you will know it. You will feel strong in the stomach/solar plexus area. When you have that quiet certainty you will say no, and people will listen. If they don’t it won’t even bother you. You’ll find your own way to say that you mean what you’ve said, and if necessary walk away very quietly.
  • Centring: Hands on heart and just breathe normally. Feel the heat. Feel the love. Feel that moving down your spine to the base then circling back up towards the top of the spine. Feel that loving strength circulating up and down the spine freely, making it feel so strong. Feel it in your stomach area where we often feel nervous and wobbly. Feel the spine supporting you. You’ve triggered Kundalini/life force energy, which should never feel static.

That’s a start. Not as spiritual as you may have expected? You are a soul in the human world, the most important spiritual practice is using that knowledge/feeling to support you in this life.

No point being a great meditator if you burst into tears the minute you leave the house. No point in telling everyone you’re spiritual followed by the words “I just can’t cope in this world the way it is!” What’s the point of pursuing a path that stops you coping? Especially when the only point is to help and support you.

The real world

People who think as I do are often called weird and ‘woo woo’, deluded, crazy, that we don’t understand how the world works.

We do understand we just don’t like it

When you think of the lying, cheating, stealing, abusing, raping, murdering, belittling, polluting, money grabbing, prejudice, fighting for and over religions. When you consider the abuse of women, people of colour, LGBTIQ, children and animals in this world, the planet itself. You have to ask yourself what on earth is wrong with being anti all those things? Being the difference?

One small point:

The real world they promote isn’t real

It’s a human-constructed mess. Something a soul would never create. Imagine for a moment living in a world of love and respect for all living beings and things.

What’s not to love?

Being soul-centred can change the world. Including yours, inside and out. As within, so without. A peace, calm, truth, strength and determination that radiates through you and from you. Imagine.

Good, now you’re imagining something wonderful.

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
