The Code Breakers were the British Team that broke the Enigma Code during WWII, and helped to end the war and prevent a huge loss of life.
The visit was a good one, not as informative as I expected in some ways, but it was wonderful to stand in Alan Turing’s office and send him messages of thanks, and apologies for the terrible way he was treated after the war.
He was homosexual and our country thanked him by putting him through hell and chemically castrating him. He was eventually pardoned, and it’s disgusting that it was ever necessary for anyone to be pardoned for the way they are born, but especially to do that to a man who actually broke the code and saved those lives! It’s a great stain on our history.
He was eventually pardoned in 2013 under the Royal Prerogative of Mercy, by the late Queen after a request by Justice Secretary Chris Grayling. He now holds his rightful place in the history of this country.
As you can tell, I felt passionately about this. I partly owe my freedom to him and his team, and I’m very aware of that. The Second World War had only been over for 12 years when I was born, so it’s not a remote thing for me.
Despite the exhibition not being what I expected I had a good time, but when my husband and I were talking the next day we realised that we’d got something very important out of it.
Energy shift
I believe in the fact that bricks and mortar pick up energy, I can tell you the moment I stand in front of a house whether I will ever live in it. With some houses I just get a horrible feeling looking at them. I’ve no idea why, the owners have all been incredibly nice people, but it’s there and I can’t wait to leave. It can be a Ley Line – earth energy line.
In olden times people use to navigate via these lines, I have no idea how, I can’t find my way out of the house without help, but they could sense these lines and followed them. They were a kind of ancient mapping system. We lived in a house where the Michael Ley Line went across the front of our fireplace. The cats were okay with it so we were.
However, the energy at Bletchley Park was interesting, the old house had a nice vibe, and so did the huts. You could feel the determination in the walls, the commitment, the passion, the will to win. But Tony put it m best.
We were talking about his job the next day and the things that need doing and he said “It’s going to happen, failure is not an option, it’s got to be done and it will be done.”
I’m more used to “The problem will be…” or a litany of very real issues. I pointed it out to him and he said, that yes that’s exactly how he felt. No focus on problems, just solutions and implementing them and it was going to happen.
I told him that when I put my hands on the walls at Bletchley, which is how I read the energy in the bricks, I can feel it in the air but the hands make a stronger connection, the feeling I got was of absolute determination not to let the world down, failure was not an option, there was a great deal of optimism there, a really good vibration despite all the obstacles they had to overcome, and the setbacks they had. They were going to win.
Tony said he felt exactly that way, and he’d never felt so quietly determined before.
We all pick up energy
It’s not a specialised talent open to only the deserving few, everyone can do it. If you’ve ever walked into a strange house and shuddered, or a room and known that the two smiling people sitting side-by-side have had an argument just before you arrived, if you understand the saying “you could cut the air with a knife”, you know I’m right.
For Tony the Bletchley Park effect has been a good one. He has been dreading an event and he was cracking jokes about it last night. He had a recent setback at work, suddenly he’s at peace with it and seeing the benefits. Something tempting came into his inbox today, something he once wanted very much, he told me that he really didn’t need the hassle, he was on a great wicket where he is. Thoroughly happy,
This is a very different Tony, the right energy can have a positive effect on you. But I can honestly say that I didn’t expect that, I’m very grateful for it though. When you sense energy you live life at a much more interesting level, and enjoy some real miracles along the way.
In other words, if you’re struggling to make something work, go somewhere a huge success lived or something magical happened and absorb the vibe! Imagine how those involved got to where they were. Particularly try to visit their study or office where the magic happened. Feel the feeling of success and bring it home with you. It can help.
Seeing your favourite music star can have the same effect, the music will lift you and they will inspire you.
To good energy and miracles
