Happiness and Authenticity

What are the most important things needed to live a good life?

Look at these balloons, you should feel light enough inside to float away.

Happiness is light, unhappiness is heavy.

A great deal of unhappiness can be avoided by realising that:

  • You don’t have to do what others think you should.
  • You don’t have to conform to how society has developed socially.
  • You are the only person who knows what’s right for you. If you can’t live that way now make a plan and ensure you achieve it.
  • You don’t have to engage in social media at all. If you want to keep in touch with friends far away, use a messaging app and make phone or video calls. Make it personal.
  • If anyone hurts you, walk away. Family are not everything if they’re toxic.
  • Real positive connections will make you happier and less lonely.
  • Take care of yourself your way, exercise you hate raises stress levels. We all know how to eat well, go organic if you can.
  • Be yourself. Know yourself. Respect what you feel. No one else is you and they won’t understand. That’s okay. Then you’ll be authentic.
  • Heal yourself. There is so much self help out there, find your way with what works for you.
  • Turn off the news and do a headline check on an app.
  • Never read all the ways you can become unwell, it’s epidemic and it’s dangerous.
  • Most importantly – have fun. Lots of fun. As much fun as you can. Every single day.
  • Laugh.
  • Never let anyone pop your balloon!

Happy happiness

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
