Loss at Christmas

Trigger Warning

Only read this if you’re struggling with loss today, these words are intended to offer a little love and support. But they may be too painful.

They are also written by a medium who can PERSONALLY say that she knows life goes on, but would never try to convince anyone. It might just help a tiny bit though.

They’re written with love and compassion, and from shared experience.

These are the words of my Guides Amos and Eduoard.

Amos

“These days are the worst, especially in the first year, don’t attempt to be brave or feel good, take one step at a time, one breath at a time, and try to talk of as many good memories as you can. You can’t avoid the pain so don’t try.

But these are the most healing days, get through today and it will be a tiny amount easier, each anniversary and birthday, each painful celebration is part of the healing that will allow you to connect again, to feel their presence, to KNOW that they are still a real part of your life. Which they ARE.

You’re not trying to get over their loss, you’re building a new relationship. A very real one.”

Eduoard

“Grief is the emotion that separates us, love is the link that binds us forever. Celebrate every moment of healing, every tear of healing, then you will be moving towards that forever bond that has never, will never, and can never, be broken.”

Me

I just hope that helps a little.

Remember how many millions of people have been where you are, and slowly and gently moved forward to coping. Grief is the price we pay for being the luckiest people in the world.

You knew them!

Much much love.

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
