Do you need time?

Speaking as a person who was 21 a few short years ago and is somehow mid 60s now, I would describe time as a tricky thing.
They say time flies when you’re having fun, turns out it flies when you’re not either. Even though time slows when you’re bored, it’s only an illusion as it’s still rocketing past you stealing your life.
Need?
If you’re on this earth you have time, it’s part of the package, the sun rises and sets measuring our lives as we move around it. So we don’t need it, it’s a default setting.
There are times when we need more time, sometimes because there is a lot to do, often because we’re taking on too much, and at the end of a life when you realise exactly how much you love this world and the people in it. That’s when you really need more time.
The one time you definitely need time is when you have an important decision to make and the answer isn’t yet clear. That’s the time to take time until the answer is clear and feels right. It’s not a time to be pushed along someone else’s time line. Take all the time you need is wise advice.
Need for…
We all need time to have fun, be with loved ones and friends, watch our children grow up, have amazing holidays and incredible experiences. All the good things. So maybe the question isn’t as much do we need time…Maybe it’s:
Do we need to be doing what we do with our time? Are we making the best use of it wherever possible.
So…this came to me:
Tick tock goes the clock
Counting the time I’ve been wasting
I still have my dreams
But it certainly seems
That the time I’m allotted is racing
Starting right now
And continuing on
I will measure my time in my pleasure
Moments of fun
In the things I have done
I will measure my time in my pleasure
Moments of fun
In the things I have done
And not wasting one moment of leisure!
