I Would Fail

What’s something you would attempt if you were guaranteed not to fail.

On a normal basis failure doesn’t bother me too much, beyond the blow to my hopes and ego of course. It’s how we learn to get things right.

It’s a good thing really as I’m far more interested in why I’m working (helping hurt people), than success. But that’s a conundrum in itself because I would help more if I could reach more.

The problem is that writers are writers, we’re not sales people, more ‘you liked my book…that’s made my entire decade!’ We’re hard in ourselves and always trying to be better.

We’re not marketing people. We don’t have that mindset. It’s a very real skill, and you can learn it from books, but you can’t emulate a true marketing mind and the real world knowledge and understanding they have.

People will tell you that these are excuses but they’re not. I’ve been in many useless marketing courses where the best thing about it was the blurb and pre sales technique, be a bit different and they couldn’t cope.

It’s important to be able to follow up your dream with a comprehensive set of skills that will ensure success.

Familiarity with failure can help

Because the one thing I would like to achieve is gigantically, ginormous. It’s off the charts impossible. It’s beyond not just the wildest dreams, it’s right out there at the edge of insanity.

To achieve it I will need help:

As such, if anyone can tell me how I can convince the world that peace is a vital idea and the outcome is critical; life saving.

That religion is supposed to be a good thing that brings us closer to the divine not closer to hell.

That race is a matter of sun protection. Which is why north Europeans look like milk bottles and get excited by one ray of sunlight.

That gender happens and doesn’t always match what we see and feel and no one knows why. Scientists might know, and if they do know then there is a why and it’s not choice. That’s what I believe. Gender happens we live with it.

That where you’re born makes you as good as anyone and better than no one.

That every country has reasons to look back and quail with horror at some point in their history. Some of it not so recent and not just in two areas of the world. Be real – we see it. In our own societies and on the news throughout the world.

That the sins of the past are great, varied, and shocking, yet for the sake of the children we should apologise and move forward because there have only been six days when there was no known war taking place since 1945.

Think about that statistic. That’s in 28,529 days.

Hero me with all that and I will definitely give the world peace thing a go.

I will anyway. Being used to failure helps me to keep going. I just need all the help I can get.

For the world

For the future

For the children

Please help

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
