Not the furthest

Share a story about the furthest you’ve ever traveled from home.

Freedom

The furthest I’ve ever traveled was New Zealand, as far as you can go without meeting yourself coming back. That was 2-week meet the family visit so I saw far too little of a magnificent country.

The most important trip was Sedona and the Grand Canyon in Arizona. I went with a friend, my one and only girls trip holiday. I loved the place and would like to take Tony to both, he will find both amazing.

It wasn’t the holiday that was important, what was far more important was that a person with acute anxiety who struggled to go out, let alone drive a car, but stubbornly kept doing both, got on a plane, flew 9000 miles, and significantly increased her comfort zone.

Fortunately my fear of flying was gone by that time.

So it wasn’t the farthest I’ve ever traveled from home, it was the farthest (at the time) I’d ever traveled from fear. It really showed me what I was capable of. I’ve never looked back.

If I can you can

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx

I LOVED the experience of READING this.
…I have no idea whom nor where now how you are, . . . but I felt for a moment as if I had, . . . and where you had VICTORY, I did too, . . . a little bit: …I could FEEL it, it was warm and glowing.

Congratulatuons, and THANK YOU for the SHARE.

    1. Ah that’s the magic of life. We’re all connected. All part of the cosmic whole. And writers write to make those connections. I’m glad it made you feel good. That’s why I write. Thank you for the comment.
