The Night Garden

In the quiet hours
When all the lights are out
And the nocturnal animals have stopped foraging

If you look out of your window
if you’re very still and patient
You may see a miracle

Suddenly
There will be a tiny point of light
That sparkles near the ground
A night flower

Few see them as you have to be up late
And you have to be open
To seeing things that others don’t see
They can only be seen with the heart

Each tiny light is a star
Descended from the heavens
Waiting for someone
Who doesn’t want a humdrum life
To start seeing

Someone unafraid to open their eyes
to miracles
To open their heart
to potential
And their mind to
‘what if?’

These star-flowers exist
And when you’re down
When the shadows are falling
And the night descends on your happiness

Visualise this garden
Look out into the darkness fearlessly
And you will see
A tiny point of hope

A small sparkle that says
I’m not done yet
I’ve been here before and I’ve won through
I will win through this time

No depression can undo me
No anxiety can control me
No sadness can affect my foundation

My foundation is soul
My heart is love
And my mind is light

Then look again
And one thousand times one thousand tiny stars
Will be twinkling on the edge of your psyche

Lighting the way to a new day
A better tomorrow
And a life of love
And magic

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
