Sound of Hysterical Laughter

What are your best healthy eating habits?

I thought I was the world’s worst eater. I can’t eat much wheat so a decent brown seeded bread is off my menu. I do eat corn crackers though which at least has a good basic ingredient. Eat a lot of veg too, chocolate, but nowhere near what I used to.

When I had my first blood test at the hospital I asked if I needed to boost my vitamins and minerals. The nurse said no, you obviously have an excellent diet. I nearly fell off my chair.

I find that I need filling food, I can’t live on lettuce and fresh air. I need root veg, rice, beef rather than chicken, jacket potatoes. Good old stodge that gives my stomach something to work on.

I honestly believe that you can read every rule, become wildly confused because what one person says is good for you the next one says is bad, and actually compromise your health.

I listen to my body, it tells me what is and isn’t right. Tony made the most gorgeous meal last night, didn’t work for me at all.

At the moment I want apple crumble and custard. I make it without pastry and use a good healthy cereal for the topping. Sweeten the apples with honey. What’s not to love?

Except…my dentist would have hysterics! I’ve learned that if you please your doctor your dentist has a breakdown! You drink fresh orange juice?! Are you crazy! Tea, coffee, water. But not water with nice, natural, fruit flavouring. Oh no!

Doctor – loads of fresh fruit!

Dentist?

So officially I live on water and fresh air and that remains the story. I do use a good toothpaste though, and I’m praised for my cleaning!

Although, modern air is full of pollution! 😱

What a minefield!

Unless you realise that worrying about it all is bad for your mental health and digestion. Then relax, eat a good diet, recognise that you can’t avoid sugar nowadays so invest in your toothbrush and toothpaste, listen to your body, and get on with having fun!

Laughter is the best medicine and the cure for many of life’s ills.

Best love

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
