Everything?

Do you think everything happens for a reason?

Exactly this.

Plus does everything happen for your reasons, or for reasons generated by others, both or neither?

Does fate exist? Do the stars align for some people and not others? If not why not?

Does attitude drive what happens? Good attitude = good things for good reasons? Poor attitude = bad things for bad reasons? Are either, both, or neither driven by you?

When something good happens we tend to feel it’s serendipity and the fates are with us, God loves us. When something bad happens we can feel abandoned by those fates, that God has turned His back. Life does not favour us.

For me it’s more about how you choose to react. A good thing can become a difficult thing if your mind isn’t willing to accept it.

For example some lottery winners go through millions in a very short period of time and land up having to sell the posh house and car because they can’t afford to run either. In recent years a couple went through £132 million in two years! Did they feel they didn’t deserve the good fortune? I don’t know.

Tony and I went through the proceeds of my divorce very quickly too, we concluded that although I did deserve the money after 17 years of misery with a few nice moments, neither of us wanted it.

Plus a difficult thing can become a good thing if you choose a positive reaction. I’ve proved that to myself in recent times. I’m not glib about it, I’m surprised! But it happened, I had the last reaction I would have expected!

My initial reaction to this question therefore, was that you could spend years unpicking it, but I value my supporters far too much to put you through that!

Best love as always

You are valued and you are important

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
