What are you good at?

This used to be me. Blogging is something I enjoy, but creating entirely new worlds and people, and wondering what they will do, how I can play with ideas, that really floats my boat.
I’m more into plays than books as I like to see how actors animate and embody the words. I wrote a rather unusual play in 1999, and dug it out a few months ago. It needs modernising but that’s adding something special to it.
I no longer have the muse, where I just had to write, but every so often I go back and tweak a bit more. I still love it even though the pages don’t fly off the computer screen as in the illustration.
I chose the old typewriter because it has more personality though. Who remembers fighting to put in a new ribbon? Or getting your fingers caught because you typed too fast and the keys tangled up?
Ah happy days!
Screaming at a computer screen demanding to know what it’s doing now and what idiot thought that ‘upgrade’ was a good idea is just not the same. But it will be the nostalgia of future generations.
Even further into the future, they might be more like “smacking yourself over the head with a book to try to unscramble your communication chip, is nowhere near as satisfying as screaming at a computer screen”.
And even further into a post-apocalyptic future:
“Look, I’ve invented this stuff that you can draw on with a piece of coal. What shall we call it?”
“How about paper?”
“Stupid idea, who would call ‘scribble on’ paper and why?”
“Ooh scribble on! I like that!”
🤣

No Milders, it would not be funnier if you wrote it, but I take your point. Mildred feels ignored readers! Always dangerous…expect headlines!
