Many Times

Have you ever been camping?

Derwent Water in the English Lake District is my favourite place in England apart from London. What? I’m a Gemini, we embrace all things. 🤣

Imagine pitching a tent at the edge of that lake, right at the top. You wake up, unzip the door and roll it up, have coffee and your breakfast. You never wanted to move. There was no good reason to move.

We camped all around England and I loved every moment of it. When I met Tony he went on and on about camping, so I priced up everything we would need and gave him the list.

He was horrified! He was joking! He thought I was such a girl in my high heeled shoes and full make up, every hair in place, that I’d run screaming at the very idea. Boy did I win that one…but I’m still disappointed that Mr Hotel Room didn’t want a tent.

He looked at me and said:

“You went camping”?

“Yes many times.”

“In all weathers?”

“Yes, sometimes in the same day, this is England after all.”

“But you didn’t even have a pair of jeans or trainers when we met!”

“Darling, I did it in stiletto heels and full make up!”

Yes I used to stride around a grassy campsite in 3” heels, and no tent was going to make me lower my standards! No real woman would allow that!

Would I do it now, probably not, but I do have a fancy for one of those mobile holiday homes!

I will be in leggings and trainers though. The shoes of today are nowhere near glamorous enough for me. , and my standards have slipped into comfort.

Best Love

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
