Rarely Before 4pm

When do you feel most productive?

I wake up fully at 4 pm, I can actually tell you when it is that time. I feel my energy change.

I don’t write so much anymore, but when I did it would mainly be between 4 and 7.30 pm. I could get a lot done.

I do wonder if I have a problem with concentration, or I’m simply born this way.

There used to be a standing joke at work that the scream at 11 am was me waking up and realising where I was. I don’t do mornings!

Important point

Work with who you are, if you’re an early morning person, deliver milk. If you’re a real night owl think about the theatre and entertainment industries. If you’re pretty balanced the world is your oyster.

Because I wasn’t taught to think, the very idea of working with your body would have shocked my parents’ generation and they didn’t teach that. As such, it never occurred to me to find work to suit my body clock.

In fact I don’t think I heard that term before I was 30. It was a simpler age. Leave school, stumble into something, do that, housework and shopping on weekends.

I am, of course, exaggerating, but I’m not even sure that young people are taught to think about who they are even now. To realise the importance of listening to your body, and doing what you love. They’re so much more switched on than we were, but many ordinary, uninspired lives still don’t make room for the I.

You should always know who you are and work with it. Otherwise your life will be like driving a car with the hand break on.

Then you’ll also take advantage of the times you feel most productive and enjoy what you do.

Best Love

Oh…and you don’t have to be a milkman if you’re an early bird, I just couldn’t think of any other jobs that specialised in starting early. Never been awake early enough to find out! 🤣😱💤🤣

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
