Oddly I just stopped

How do you use social media?

I didn’t think I could quit social media, then I just did. I still have an Instagram account but that’s to keep up with my inspirers. Joe Dispenza being one. He keeps popping up and I’m paying attention.

No chatting on there though.

I’m more comfortable not being on Facebook than I thought possible. I didn’t see friends’ posts for all the adverts, so we effectively lost touch. That negated the point.

I didn’t want to spend time trawling through adverts, memes, and arguments as to whether Trump is hero or villain. I was fed up with insults rather than discussion. But most importantly – it’s overwhelming now.

Added to that, I kept getting pop-up messages from Meta on my phone asking of they could access this, or use that information, it felt like they’d created an open back door they could walk through at any time.

My life was being invaded and I didn’t like it.

The sense of peace at taking control away from them is amazing!

Plus no more pressure because I believe in world peace, something no one should have to defend. It’s people that don’t that worry me, and they seem surprised!

Can it even happen? I hope so, but even if we don’t know how to bring it about we must hold it as an intention for the sake of the future. A future that’s approaching a bit too fast.

So yep, I’m disconnected and loving it.

Maybe this is what normal feels like. 🤣

Best love

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
