Avoiding the Improper!

What’s the most fun way to exercise?

This is the perfect way to exercise

As a young adult I would have thought of something much different and certainly not open to be putting in writing on a respectable blog. However, as an older adult my perspective is much improved.

On a serious note, really I just went for a slightly cheeky title here to make myself look more interesting, what we see here is perfection. Childhood innocence. Exercising without even knowing you’re doing it. Good clean, playful, group fun.

How much we lose when we become ‘mature’, unless we’re lucky enough to be into a sport we love.

I don’t know why top footballers are paid such obscene amounts of money when they get to do what they love for a living. I would have paid to do that!

Perspective

We all rush to grow up don’t we? It’s a spectacularly bad idea. That image is what should be in our hearts all the time. We should still get a ball, go to a park, and play with friends. But we don’t.

Isn’t it sad that growing up means that you outgrow everything that is wonderful and free in life, if you’re not careful, or someone doesn’t put this idea in writing?

How much does a badminton or squash court cost? Gym membership? Belonging to a running, swimming, bowling, club?

Nature is free. Communication with others in a fun environment is critical for mental health. Simplicity is the antidote to a complicated, busy life. Joy balances out stress. Even money worries can take a brief step to the background if you have a ball and some crazy mates.

The moral of this story?

Un-grow up now. Reverse. Buy a ball, dare your friends to come and play. Most importantly….

Tell your children this, and don’t let their fun die at the feet of the industrialised world.

Growing up is nature’s way of demonstrating ageing, growing stressed, overworked, lonely and isolated is an option.

It’s what happens when you put the beach ball down

A beach ball just to remind you to BE youthful

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
