War Conversation

War Conversation

Them: We need a war, where can we find one and who will we choose to hate – and why?

Another Them: Does it matter?

First Them: Ah…good thinking!

A humanitarian: I don’t think we should do war.

Them: Why not?

Humanitarian: I have children. No child should die in a war.

Them: But a war will make things better?

Humanitarian: When?

Them: In the long run.

Another sane person: I don’t think we should have a war either.

Them: You too?

Sane person: Yes, I don’t want to die.

Them: Everyone dies.

Sane but now frustrated person: Okay – I want to die naturally of old age, in my own bed.

Them: You don’t get that choice!

Less sane and now bordering on murderous: Well, you certainly don’t get to choose for me.

Rather angry person: I don’t think we should have a war either.

Them: Another one! Okay I’ll play along. Why not?

Rather angry person: I don’t know your motives, what are they?

Them: Security.

Angry and now confused person: Who’s threatening us?

Them: Folks. Bad folks.

Totally baffled angry person: What folks?

Them: Loadsa folks.

Angry person emitting steam: Be specific.

Them: Okay, anyone who doesn’t fit with our viewpoint.

Beyond angry person: Which is?

Them: Erm…war is good.

Absolutely stunned person: Then you have a lot of people to kill.

Them: Stunned silence.

God: Well, that makes about as much sense as it has since Methuselah was a baby. Will they never learn?

Jesus: Perhaps cancel free will?

God: No point, they only ignore me anyway. I told them I am love; there is no love in war. It’s not difficult.

Jesus: So free will means ignore God, and all good advice?

God: Apparently so.

Jesus: Got any thunderbolts handy?

God: That would make me like them, I won’t let them change me.

Jesus: It’s a conundrum, you need to find an actual superior species!

God: Good idea, I’ll chat to the apes, they’re incredibly intelligent and haven’t started one war.

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
