Which animal would you compare yourself to and why?

A Cow

Because I think about things, ruminate a lot, and quite often find it takes time to digest life.

A Meerkat

Because I have the reputation that I will be moseying along, then suddenly something captures my attention. My head snaps up, I lean my neck at a weird angle, and my focus is laser-like. I have an old photo of me doing exactly that and it’s positively weird.

A Flamingo

Because since I’ve been having the Emmett Technique, a muscle release therapy, I can stand on one leg. Prior to that I couldn’t balance on two legs, or walk in a straight line.

A Zebra

Because my name is Debra I was called Debra the Zebra by the not-as-witty-as-they-thought school bullies.

An Elephant

Because once I actually make up my mind you won’t shift me. Which doesn’t happen often, I’m a Gemini, always in two minds and can see the pros and cons of most situations and agree with both. So you won’t see the elephant side often.

A Dove

Because I do, most sincerely, believe in the power of love to make the world a better place and bring peace to all.

Menagerie

So I think a lot about peace. I stand up like a meerkat trying to see into the future, to see if the light won. I try to remain sensible and balanced about life. I don’t tease nor do I use cruel words.

Although I have an elephant’s determination to walk this path without deviation, if I’m honest I could stomp on a few world leaders if they appeared on that path. I’d feel guilty afterwards though because that’s not who I am. Which reminds us that it’s important not to allow evil to change you.

Let’s stand together as one and save this world from the corruption of absolute power. Maintaining our balance even when events do seek to knock us off course. Creating that future we want to see for all. Thinking about only peace and the family of humanity. And ask a dove to fly close to God for us with a prayer for help.

Best Love

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
