The Sad Ones

What experiences in life helped you grow the most?

And it’s no way to grow!

No one should grow through fighting for your sanity every day.

No one should seek to survive a relationship.

No one should dread their job or their boss.

Everyone should be told one thing and it should be on the wall in every school:

There is no rule that says you have to as miserable as possible as often as you can

Who am I, Where am I, What is this Place?

I know this to be true.

Wrong focus

In the West we seem to prize overcoming rather than flowing with life. Every single meditation practitioner and every single Buddhist will tell you that’s wrong. The ancient religions were of similar mind on this, live with the seasons and flow with life.

We need to switch our focus to flowing with life, believing in the best, and actively seeking it.

We need to recognise our right to say no to what doesn’t work for us, whatever it is, without blaming ourselves or others.

Is it working yes or no?

Answer that question and act.

Right focus

Nothing is more important than feeling good.

Seek happiness always.

Life is an adventure (not a prison sentence).

A world of respect and inclusion is a happier more peaceful world.

You have a right to be happy (and so does everyone around you).

What’s not to love?

Best love

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
