I Believe in Choices

Do you believe in fate/destiny?

I’ve been mulling over this blog all day, after the slight shock that the American President actually started a major conflict yesterday. It’s horrific.

Fate

To me is what’s meant to happen, and I cannot see that any war or conflict was meant to happen.

Destiny

Is anyone’s destiny to be killed in a war? Is it anyone’s destiny to start a war?

Those questions bring me to:

Choices

It is the choices of others that put a stop to the destiny of the innocents of this world, and change their fate.

Those choices are amongst the most heinous any human being can make. Rape, abuse, shooting and stabbing, being as bad.

Children

Wherever we go with this question we come down to the children. If, or course, we have a heart.

I simply cannot understand how anyone at all can be easy with slaughtering children for a cause. It’s bad enough to kill anyone or any animal for any reason, but to be prepared to consider children as collateral damage is, to me, and entirely new definition of evil.

It is total evil.

Lies

Most wars are based on lies told by leaders that incense a part of the population so that those leaders win support. If I’m honest I’m not at all sure why this, why now? Except to support Israel as President Trump has suggested.

Israel is a country I have always wanted to visit, to walk in the footsteps of Jesus. Yet thanks to recent events not only do I not want to go there, I don’t want to hear the name.

Without question I have enormous anger and outrage over the October events that started this off. I was heartbroken for those people. What followed it denigrated it.

It has made life harder for ordinary, decent Jews all over the world. They are under threat of attack, requiring police protection, yet in London particularly they marched for Gaza alongside people carrying Palestinian flags. They were as upset as anyone else.

Yet again the Jewish religion took a terrible hit at the hands of one man, and it is so unfair to them. They do not deserve it.

The Gazan people did not deserve this either, they did not commit that atrocity. Yes Hamas was the ruling party, but not all peoples’ dare to vote with their heart and conscience as we can in the UK and other Western countries. We won’t die for voting Labour or Conservative. We are free to believe as we wish.

Are the Gazan people?

So many questions today

So few answers, and so far nothing acceptable in any way. People all over the Middle East in fear, and World War Three being discussed far too often.

After World Wars One and Two, those should be words confined to the history books under ‘man’s inhumanity to man’.

The protesters that America is ‘defending’ are dying in the attacks, and you can bet your life that the regime will hunt them down ruthlessly and blame them for this.

They were trying to defend women amongst other things, as a result 148 girls died when their school was flattened. Who fired that missile and why the heck did it land anywhere near a school? I just can’t imagine what their parents and siblings are going through.

Is love so hard?

Is respect impossible? Is living side-by-side with differences too much to bear? Can we not talk? Can we not listen? Can we not learn? Can we not…

SAVE THE CHILDREN!

No child is safe

Could we please ask every single leader of every single nation, and every single religion, to remember that.

IT IS NOT TOO MUCH TO ASK

Argghhh

I don’t think I’ve ever written anything that I mean as much as this blog.

Whomever you are, wherever you are, if you are an innocent caught up in this, I don’t care about your race, gender, or religion, but I do care that this is happening to you.

To every heartbroken parent, partner, spouse, sibling, friend, I don’t even know what to say to you.

To every person living in fear, my heart goes out to you. I’m working very hard not to think at the moment, but some of you don’t have that choice, you’re already seeing missiles coming in. I am so sorry.

To every world leader I say – it’s time to stop this, enough is enough. Nothing you want to fight about is as important as the life of one child. It is not your right to decided their fate and alter their destiny.

To every person who believes in the same things I do, I say speak up, write, say no. It’s not a lot but it’s all we have.

To every person that believes war and violence is justified, look into your heart, because your god is.

Always remember:

THAT CHILD OF THE ENEMY THAT JUST DIED COULD BE MEETING YOUR CHILD IN HEAVEN VERY SOON

That’s a terrible way to learn, and your child pays the price.

I can’t sign off as I usually do at the moment. I’m trying to stay in a place of love, but I can only think of:

Have the courage to be decent and respectful

The more of us who do the more hope there is.

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
