Football

What are your favorite sports to watch and play?

Or soccer as some call it

I used to hate football with a passion, now I love it. Thus proving that you can change at any age. I was 66 when I morphed into a football fan.

I’d enjoyed Rugby since the World Cup win over Australia, what an incredible match! There was no shame in losing that one; just one kick made the difference.

I started off watching the Lionesses play, then I got into watching the Lions. I do empathise with their new Coach though when he says that he doesn’t know how to get them to kick a ball. The Lions do dither.

“Over to you…no please you kick it…absolutely not you’re so much better than me…nonsense you’re wonderful.”

That’s how to do a lot of work passing back and forth and cover no ground whatsoever. And you get paid hundreds of thousands a month! I could lose a football match for that!

I do watch a bit of the Olympics if it’s on. I love ice skating but haven’t watched it in years.

As to actually do sport, only if it can be done in stiletto heels and full make up!

I’m an armchair participant.

Or a Strictly Come Dancing contestant. Except I can’t dance…and I’m not famous…or an influencer…sigh.

Better stick to the sofa, I’ve just remembered we don’t have an armchair. Is there no end to these barriers between me and sport?!

Best love

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
