Where to start?

If you could make your pet understand one thing, what would it be?

Nero and Lily

With these two it would be that this bed ain’t big enough for the both of you! However, Lily loves Nero so space isn’t as important as snuggles. We humans should remember that.

Lily again

What we’ve learned from Lily here is, if you’re going to drive your elders nuts, always have multiple escape routes.

Hito

You can try the Vulcan mind meld all you want, but if you’re sitting on my lap I can’t get up to feed you. What I’ve learned is that no matter how long it takes, he will win, I will get up, l and he will sigh at me!

Marcus

Sitting on the treadmill won’t make you fit, I’ve tried and it doesn’t work. However, I’ll go out for a walk because I know the do not disturb look when I see it. I’m well trained.

Mimzy with Marcus and Nero

Proving that they might be twice the size but she’s still queen of the castle. We girls should be more like the female feline!

Sisters

Yes if you peer helplessly under the sofa for a few minutes we will assume unnatural positions, that no one over the age of ten should attempt, to retrieve your toys, which you will then innocently bat back underneath. Always exercise your servants is the message here.

What we want them to learn?

Nope, with cats you quickly learn that they will happily be taught anything that suits them. However, when it comes to not using the sofa as a scratching post, or dropping their biscuits in water then creating a small lake trying to get them out, their ability to recall information is woeful.

The truth about cats

Cats are actually far more loving and affectionate than rumour suggests. Every one of ours has been unique.

When their eyes light up when they see you coming, and they hurtle across the garden to demand a fuss, you just have to smile.

We get so much love from them it’s not true, and completely adore them. Which is why the following meme is purrfect.

Many a true word spoken in jest! (This isn’t Lily)

Best love

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
