Dream Life

What’s your dream job?

If you do the work you love
you will never work a day in your life

Often attributed to Confucius

That says it all.

Modern life has become about work, with a few hours for cooking and cleaning, and weekends running around trying to get everything done. It’s all wrong.

We need to earn money, but that should be one aspect of our lives, not the ruling factor. No company owns you but it often feels like it.

The problem is we’re sent to school, often followed by higher education, and you’re not given time to find out one critical thing -who you are naturally, without all that.

I learned something during both stages of education, but my truth came much later when I had time to think. And be.

If work rules your life and you love it, that’s great as long as those closest to you are happy with the effects. It’s not great if they’re not. It’s a betrayal of relationships. One person being happy doing their personal right thing is an imbalance. You might think you’re delivering what’s needed, but do you know that to be true?

We all do our best, but there’s a high cost to work nowadays. Loss of family time and connection being one.

If you can move yourself to something you enjoy you will be less tired, energised even, and although you may get home at a similar time, your presence will be much more positive and engaged.

Not easy at times, but keep your eyes open, you never know what might come up. You won’t know unless you look, and you won’t look if you don’t decide against unhappiness.

That goes for every aspect of life.

Best love

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
