Choices and Home Truths

If you had a freeway billboard, what would it say?

An interesting quote by our unknown Street Artist in the UK – Banksy

So, as a billboard is an American term I was tempted to say “Invading other countries is wrong”. If America go into Greenland then as part of NATO their troops will have to shoot themselves to protect a NATO country. Seems pretty insane to me, but who wants to get political, that way clearly lies madness.

However, that has nothing to do with this blog, I was trying to get Google Gemini to create a billboard with a John Lennon quote but it kept insisting it can’t depict him. I only wanted his name under the quote. I think it’s had a breakdown.

Peace

I would use this quote:

Give Peace a Chance

John Lennon

It has two meanings, firstly why doesn’t this world take a stab at living in peace, and at least see how it feels not to slaughter each other? To care, share, encourage, and solve problems together? That’s Nirvana.

Secondly, do you ever allow yourself time to be peaceful?

Inner peace is healing and restorative, yet we can allow too many things that don’t matter to wind us up. Many people don’t watch the news because they are tempted to hurl things at the TV, and that gets expensive if you do it twice every night of the week.

Many people find social media stressful, yet keep going back. Hate their career but don’t change it. Get into a relationship that’s breaking them and stay.

Ever asked yourself why?

Why we put up with rudeness instead of quietly turning our back and walking away? We don’t need to fight or defend, that often leads to worse. Just go. Why is it that we put up with so much that hurts?

The reason is that emotions are complex, the truth you see and hear is simple. It doesn’t require judgement, just acknowledgement.

Were they rude/unkind/violent? Yes.

Does this keep happening? If no, check they’re okay, if yes, remove yourself.

No one will change if they don’t want to. It isn’t your right to change them. Plus spiritually speaking it’s just wrong place, wrong person, wrong timing, or all of the above.

Spiritual judgement

Is based in love. It doesn’t require anyone to be wrong or right. It accepts and acknowledges the humanity in all of us.

It simply works on what you hear, see, and how it makes you feel. If that’s uncomfortable, unhappy, or worse, you have your answer. Try twice to put something right, then act without judgement. Without creating an argument.

You don’t need an argument, you need space to be happy.

“Give Peace a Chance

Wishing you the self- respect and self-worth that leads to happy choices.

Best love and sparkles

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
