Don’t Think – Be

Do you spend more time thinking about the future or the past? Why?

Bee this happy

Thinking can be your best friend, your personal power, or your worst enemy. Some people are blessed with strong minds, some struggle with their minds, and some have two different minds at war with each other.

I’m one of the latter.

The only way I can put it is that my mind has had to stand up to constant battering and misery. I was never physically abused, but I’m actually stunned that I’m sane.

Sorry to sound dramatic but that’s the truth. If I could change one thing in my life it would be to surround myself with happy people with a purpose. That’s so critical.

Moving swiftly to the positive

I hate referring to the past but it does have a powerful way of creating space for the positive. Many of you have read of my past before: toxic family; raised to be perfect whilst being constantly told I was wrong. How was that ever going to work? Emotional desert. Friends who betray you. First husband psychotic. Years of isolation.

For anyone who hasn’t read my blog before, that’s enough of a picture. The most important thing is always the solution. How to create a positive, happy life for ourselves? Here is what I’d do differently:

  • Move away from people who aren’t positive about you without blaming yourself.
  • Always seek happy, life affirming people.
  • Never stay with anyone who makes you unhappy.
  • Never stay anywhere you’re unhappy.
  • Prioritise your dreams.
  • Protect your mind above everything.
  • Find a purpose. It really does help.
  • If you’re different, be different. Trying to change to fit in never works.
  • Don’t think like others, think as yourself.
  • Preferably think less and live more.

Finally

There’s thinking and being. Living in your head or living your life. Being keeps you in the moment and allows you space to see potentials and opportunities.

Just be and see what happens. Then do.

Best love

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
