My BMW and my Suzuki

What is your all time favorite automobile?

I bought my BMW 3 series in 1991. Basic as it comes. I absolutely loved the car and would drive it anywhere.

A few years later I bought a gold Suzuki Vitara, and I loved that car too, I even drove it on a motorway, which I normally don’t like doing.

I always know when a car is mine the moment I see it. But I’ve never loved another car as much as I loved them. I cried when I sold both of them.

Liking a car is importantly to me, the more comfortable I am the more and further I will drive. I hope I find another one like that one day.

The moral of the story is

When you don’t enjoy something and you don’t understand why, it’s probably that the circumstances aren’t right for you. Even if on the surface there is nothing wrong.

The other cars I’ve had have been perfectly good cars, there was just something missing. The French call it “je ne says quois”, “I don’t know”.

Just because there is no logic to your discomfort, you may be dating a perfectly wonderful person…and yet. You may go for a great job with an incredible salary…and yet.

There’s a tendency to say yes to logic, but in truth that discomfort is important because you’ll probably never be comfortable, and that in itself is enough. You may never know why, but you will know that something makes you feel like a square peg in a round hole.

Trust it. Happiness matters.

Best love

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
