What cities do you want to visit?

I’d love to see this – Golden Gate Bridge

We haven’t had a holiday since 2014 for many reasons too boring to list.

I’ve wanted to visit so many places, I always thought I’d be an international traveler. Not so much. I’m grateful for where I have been though, treasured memories.

I’m a city girl at heart, I feel natural in cities. Paris, Rome, London, I chill out in those places.

There’s an odd thing about picking up energy, the bigger the place and population the better the energy can be.

In a smaller town or village there can be a definite vibe, if it’s a depressed area it can be very uncomfortable. In London (or any city) you’ll pick up ten different vibes in just a few paces, and some of them will be good. It’s much more varied.

One of my dad’s favourite sights when sailing into New York on the Queen Mary

Dad was home in America. He was a Brit like me, but we’re also not British. When I was two my dad was offered half a market garden business in the American Mid West. Mum said no. It would have suited us both down to the ground, mum not so much.

Oddly although born in South London, mum was a small town gal. In those days each area had its own identity. She was happiest where she was born, which would have been a great thing if dad hadn’t moved us to the boring area he was born in. There was no sense of community there.

In a way mum was very lucky not to need more. I wish she been allowed to keep it.

We humans seek so much, but the right place with the right people, that’s the zenith. The rest is noise.

Best love

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
