Authenticity

What’s the first impression you want to give people?

I have always been an open book, but many times people refused to believe what they saw and heard. I was told that I must have a second side. I simply don’t.

If you remember the acronym WYSIWYG referring to the first computer screen that showed your work exactly as it would appear on paper, that’s me in real life:

What you see is what you get

It’s hard when people tell you you are not what you are, and it becomes harder to maintain your self when they do. A drip feed of total disbelief over time is hard to stand against.

Except for one thing, I have a super-power. I truly believe in God or Source Energy. That means I have to live up to the energy of love as much as I can as best I can, otherwise I lose myself completely.

I have to do it whether anyone else believes it or not. We’re talking about my soul versus their beliefs. No contest.

Do I sound like a would be Saint? No way, it’s a struggle every day. Does it sound like this is a chosen attitude? It isn’t, I was literally born this way. But it’s okay to choose it, everyone who does is a blessing.

Except then you have to be it, words don’t fool the All Seeing All Knowing.

I found my home in a church aged 7. I realised that God was my home aged 14. Which was when I realised how imperfect I was and how the Church continually talking about sin and God “coming to get you”, whilst offering only confession and condemnation without help, was not aligned with God. Things are better nowadays, Ministers are more enlightened in the UK. Perhaps I was unlucky? Or perhaps I learned the lesson I needed to learn.

God doesn’t live in a church He is everywhere, which means if you follow the word you have to be that everywhere. BE it, not pretend, not to yourself because you can’t fool Source anyway.

Modernising spiritual thinking

If we embrace the old style of church God for one or two more paragraphs, is it not logical that if He sent us here then He knew what a struggle it is? He knew the bad programming we would receive? He knew what we were up against?

If He is the God of Love then why would He condemn us unless we commit the worst crimes? Would He not offer His help to us?

If God is everywhere then it’s more important to be what you know you should all the time, every moment. Which is where we modernise.

Source

The name for God that everyone owns regardless of heritage or religion. The energy that created us, the Source of us. If it created us then it is our original parent which means we carry its DNA so to speak.

If we do then within us we have the energy that can save us. An energy of love. That’s my experience of Source, parent to child. An energy I can go to when I’m messed up and I will be received by compassion, love, and a good dollop of common sense. A spectacularly brilliant one.

My Guide Amos told me how to connect. Sit quietly, relax your mind, talk to your God, wait for the answer. If you love nature then all the better, go to your favourite place and you will find that love in every tree, bush, grain of sand, rock, river and wave.

Source is the patent of everything that exists.

A really simple meditation…

For those not near nature.

Visualise a sandy beach, a beautiful one of course. If you have a favourite beach use that if you struggle to visualise. Recreate it from memory.

Someone has made a small dip in the sand with a back support, at the edge of the sea. You sit in it, it’s warm and comfortable. Your feet are just in the sea.

A wave comes in and rolls over your feet, as it recedes you feel the tension go from your feet. A second wave comes in and rolls up to your knees, as it recedes the tension drains from your knees, shins and calves. Do that a body section at a time until the wave has rolled right over your head. Allow it to roll completely over you three times.

Each wave has cleansed all negativity from mind and body. Let it all go. Repeat as often as you like.

So am I a misjudged saint?

I was often misjudged, but I am 100% not a saint.

I’m just a person who stopped trying

to achieve the impossible.

Fool God.

If you truly believe then it’s just stupid to try. I may be flawed but I’m not stupid.

Best love

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
