Completely obvious?

What does it mean to be a kid at heart?

Or is it?

The simple answer is that you are active, interested, engaged with life, and get out there and live.

The more important factor though isn’t whether you’re fit and having fun, it’s whether or not you obsess about the good old days, moan about the youth of today, and take refuge in bitterness and regrets.

Those are the things that age you, and they are caused by losing your joy in life.

Terrible warning

This can happen at any age. The moment you become a moaner, glass half empty, life’s not fair kinda person, you will start to age.

Because it’s attitude that ages you, not years on the clock.

No matter what age you are you need to avoid losing your zest and enthusiasm for life. You really don’t want an old cranky head on young shoulders.

Engage

Stay engaged with life. Realise that things change, accept that they won’t always change for the better. Society will change. Adapt. Find the good in it.

When I went to university at 39 U was so impressed by how much more aware the younger students were than in my day. One young lady told me that she wasn’t wasting the opportunity her parents had given her by dating and becoming distracted.

The fact is you can find good anywhere if you look for it, and you can find the bad just as easily.

Choose wisely – stay young – don’t let age become a thing!

Best love

I'm a writer, public speaker, medium, and spiritual thinker. I suffered from acute anxiety from the age of 16 until I was well into my 50s, when I finally found methods that helped me to put it behind me. My struggles led to me exploring life through poetry, then plays, and over a 15 year period I made notes for a self help book which I published in 2015. Details on the book page. Although I am a psychic medium and loved the work, it didn’t feel right for me. It was an utter privilege, but my path was the exploration of what it means to be spirit in the real world and how we can make practical use of those abilities. Nowadays I write, blog, and teach soul-centred living, which is a gentle way of undoing past programming and connecting to your essential self, or soul. If you’re interested email me and we can chat. No pressure, it’s right for you or it’s not and you will know. The groups meet on line so no going out on cold, wet, winter’s evenings. On a personal note, I’m based in the UK. Married with five cats, no children, and four grandchildren, thanks to our inherited daughter, who has gifted us four beautiful little people that bring us such joy. Hope you enjoy the blogs. Deb xx
